DTGMA: July 2012

Round Two.

Start date: July 4, 2012
End date: August 1, 2012

For this month, the themes are:

• Inner / Outer
• Nature
• "...and it's also a dating sim."

For the latter, choose a genre of your choice (tower defense, first person, 4X, &c.) and include a dating mechanic, the option for romance! For the former two...well, they're rather deliberately vague. Be as vaguely deliberate as you like! Combine them as you see fit!

IMPORTANT THING: It shouldn't have to be said, but it has to be said -- BE RESPECTFUL! There's definite potential for interesting dating/romantic mechanics, but also for insulting or harmful ones. Exercise keen judgment!

Post your works-in-progress and finished games in the Development board! Tag the topic name with [DTGMA-2] (for example, "[DTGMA-2] Love in the Time of Cholera") so we know you're participating! We'll collect the entries in this thread afterwards.

Awesome! Dom2D and I are already making design mockups for this Game Jam! We can't say anything right now on which subject(s) we choose, but it's going to be radical!

Can't wait to see what you two crazy motivated dudes will come up with!

Also, "awesome" and "radical" in the same post: woooah, calm down! :P

I'm aware that might question might be a little silly, BUT, are we allowed to do deck building games? Or does it have to be exclusively a video game?

I'm not exactly sure how I would present it if I manage to make this work. Powerpoint of illustrations and instructions? ahah!

Any and all games are welcome! As you say, it might be a bit hard to demo, but a quick Powerpoint and a live demo certainly won't go amiss.
